Sonatype Visual Rebrand

In 2023, Sonatype released a bold new website design, leaning into a new theme and attempting to tell the story of their products using space exploration and spacecrafts. My in-house design team was tasked with redesigning every asset in our portfolio to match this new concept.

The team needed to create a style for our everyday assets that complimented the multilayered gradients & 3D assets created for the website that we could scale with our in-house capabilities. The updated assets were released in phases throughout the course of several months. I was tasked with prioritizing the updates within the design team’s schedule, project managing the release, assigning out projects to the in house team and freelance extensions, communicating the releases to the larger organization, and of course, ensuring a consistent look and feel across every asset. Overall, we redesigned everything big and small:

  • updated our in house graphic library
  • revisited our platform explainer graphics
  • releasing several new videos
  • wrote several levels of brand guidance for multiple audiences
  • updating all pdf content from datasheets to reports & white papers
  • releasing hundreds of templates for a variety of different kinds of teams
  • updated social graphics & zoom backgrounds
  • redesigned our event & booth graphics
